The new Jaguar XF Sportbrake has been unveiled ahead of its debut at the Geneva motor show. These are the first official images to be released.
The front of the XF Sportbrake is pretty much identical to the XF sedan. At the rear, there is an extended roofline, rounded C-pillars, a roof spoiler, and a neat rear diffuser section.
Rear cargo space is rated at 550 litres, and 1675 litres with the second row of seats folded down. Boot space comes from slightly longer overall vehicle dimensions compared with the sedan, however, wheelbase and width remain unchanged.
Power will come from two diesel engines initially, with the 2.2-litre turbo diesel four-cylinder, and the 3.0-litre twin turbo diesel V6 forming the lineup. In the XF sedan, the engines produce 140kW and 202kW, respectively.
An ‘XFR’ sports variant is currently in the pipeline, and is set to hit the market after the initial launch of the diesel versions. The performance version is expected to use the 5.0-litre supercharged V8 as seen in the XFR sedan. In that it produces 375kW.
Jaguar Australia is still assessing a possible inclusion into the local lineup. If it does make it here, it will arrive towards the end of this year.
