There have been plenty of teaser pics circulated around the web, but these are the first official photographs of the Infiniti Emerg-e electric supercar. The mid-engined range-extended hybrid will make its global premiere at the Geneva motor show on March 6.
From the photos it’s clear there are styling hints from the likes of the Lotus Evora, Ferrari 458, McLaren MP4-12C and perhaps even the Jaguar C-X75.
The Emerg-e is the first Infiniti to be powered by a range extender hybrid drivetrain, where a petrol engine is used to recharge the vehicle’s batteries to power an electric motor. Infiniti’s engineers have mounted the engine in the middle for better weight distribution and optimum handling.
Performance data for the Emerg-E is still unknown, but CarAdvice will keep you updated with live coverage from Geneva.
