Bertone Nuccio concept previewed before Geneva unveiling

Official images of the Bertone Nuccio concept have been released ahead of the stunning sports car’s unveiling at next week’s Geneva motor show.
Bertone chief designer Mike Robinson told industry journal Automotive News he drew inspiration for the Nuccio concept from the epic 1970 Lancia Stratos Zero concept.
“We decided to take one of the most spectacular concept cars in the history of the company – and in the history of the automobile for that matter – and create a futuristic interpretation of it,” Robinson said.
While Robinson’s concept mirrors the extreme wedge shape of the Stratos Zero, the Nuccio is significantly larger than its muse. While the Nuccio isn’t a tall car, at 1220mm it is 380mm taller than the Lancia.
The mid-engined Nuccio concept is powered by a 360kW 4.3-litre V8.
The Nuccio is named after the son of the company’s founder, Giovanni Bertone. Giuseppe ‘Nuccio’ Bertone led the company through its most successful years and is a member of the Automotive Hall of Fame in Detroit.
Stay tuned for more details and a full image gallery of the Bertone Nuccio concept from Geneva on March 6.
