The racing edition of the Etios sedan will be unveiled at the 2012 Auto Expo

A couple of days back we brought you news about Toyota's teaser for its upcoming motorsports event in India. Now we have the exclusive peek at its logo! The logo that you see above will soon be seen all across the country when Toyota kicks starts its 'Motor Racing' series this season.
Like the Volkswagen Polo Cup, the Toyota Motor Racing series will be a one-make racing championship that will involve a bunch of similarly-speced cars racing around the circuit for 8-10 laps. While the Volkswagen Polo Cup uses 1.6-litre diesel powers versions of the Polo hatchback, the Toyota Motor Racing series will use the race-spec version of the Etios sedan. There is word that Toyota's Motorsports arm, Toyota Racing Development (TRD) will play an important role in the tubing of the race-spec Etios sedans.
The Volkswagen Polo R Cup is now a part of the J K Tyre National Racing Championship; it will be interesting to see if Toyota runs its series as a part of the the J K Tyre NRC too, or decides to go separately. Stay tuned as we get you more details on the same, soon!
