The production ready Swift Sport is expected to go on sale in Europe this month.

Maruti Suzuki is geared-up for the 2012 Auto Expo that begins later this week, and will have a range of model on display. Maruti will launch a new MPV Ertiga at the Expo and display the new concept compact SUV that might replace Gypsy and Jimny in the coming years.
Apart from the existing range of models available in India, Suzuki will display Swift Sport and Swift Hybrid which were unveiled at Frankfurt Motor Show and Tokyo Motor Show respectively. The new Sport will replace the current model in European market this month, it is powered by 1.6-litre VVT petrol engine that produces 135 PS and 160Nm of torque and is mated to a six speed manual gearbox. The Swift hybrid is a concept powered by a petrol engine in unison with an electric motor, but is not expected to be production ready any time soon.
